Ideas are cheap. They come to me easily and often. Maybe I attract them or just listen for them, but they come nonetheless.

But again, ideas are cheap. An has as much value as a worry or a stomach ache or a fart. If you don\’t or can\’t act on the idea, then you might as well never have had it in the first place.

As you may be able to decipher, I am an anti-solipsist. My hero\’s are Wittgenstein (for his arrogance), and David Hume for his pragmatism.

Please send me your favorite recession chart. I\’m starting a project (hopefully I can get on one of my favorite sites, visualcomplexity.com). The premise is that if I have a dashboard of charts, I can visually detect inflection points in the market. I will be able to detect false bottoms based on an aggregate analysis of market data.

Saw the latest from Jackie and Jet tonight. It was in the same movie no less. I\’m still trying to decide whether I liked the movie or not. There were good fight scenes and pretty girls, but the main character, a worm-holed Karate Kid from Boston, pretty much ruined the whole thing for me. HK Kung Fu movies are works of art. They tell stories. They move you. They are funny and sad and exciting. This one did not move me, though the newcomer Li Bing Bing was a real beauty, the characters were not developed enough to make me care for any of them (besides Bing Bing). Though I knew what the director and actors were trying to accomplish, maybe too much of it was edited out because this movie could have been a top 10 lister. Instead it is just another Karate Kid. Too bad.
